Postcards from Charleston

This was my third trip to Charleston and somehow it still feels brand new, while also starting to feel a little more like home. I brought my husband along for his first visit which made it all the more special. I also had the chance to attend FAB, a women’s conference I’ve admired from afar and was finally able to experience in person. The weekend felt like the perfect blend of coastal charm and good food, just the way I like it. I always love discovering a fresh place to stay in the city and this time was no exception.

It’s wild to think my first visit to Charleston was just over a year ago. The last time I was there, I had just lost my job. Coming back this time, I couldn’t help but notice how much has changed. I’m in a completely different season of life now and felt so grateful the entire trip. We explored a bit more this time around. I finally did some antiquing, and of course we made it our mission to try as much coffee as possible. Charleston definitely doesn’t disappoint when it comes to a good cup. A visit to the beach was a fun change of pace too, especially compared to the powdery white sand we’re used to back home. And yes, I’m already planning our dinner reservations for next time.

Where I Stayed: Marine House

I found this quaint Airbnb mid TikTok scroll and immediately changed my reservation to book this guest house instead. It’s tucked away on James Island, nestled behind the home of the sweetest Airbnb hosts. When we arrived, there were fresh flowers from their garden, a welcome basket filled with local snacks and our own bag of house-roasted coffee waiting for us. It was clean, so cozy, and even Tanner couldn’t stop talking about how much he liked it. I can’t recommend it enough—and no, this isn’t an ad!

Food & Beverage:

It’s hard not to revisit favorite spots every time, but with Charleston’s ever-growing food and beverage scene, I always try to add a few new places to the list. From early morning coffee runs to late-night bites, we made it a point to try a little bit of everything.

Below you’ll find a mix of new stops we loved this trip, along with a few tried-and-true favorites I keep going back to.

Charleston Highlights

This city continues to surprise me in the best way. Every time I leave Charleston, I feel a little more inspired and a little more full. If you have a favorite spot I should check out next time, feel free to share.

Until then, here’s to good food, good coffee and good company—wherever you find yourself along the coast.
