I had the pleasure of traveling to New England for a client visit in the beautiful coastal town of Greenwich, Connecticut. With just 72 hours on the ground, I found myself staying near Old Greenwich Road—tucked close to the beach and only a quick trip from NYC. Three days, two Maman coffees and a few surprisingly smooth flights later, I’m feeling grateful.

I was only in Greenwich for three days, but it didn’t take long for the charm to set in. The airport was one of the tiniest I’ve ever flown into (in the best way)—easy, calm, no chaos. From Uber drivers to the hotel staff to baristas at local coffee shops, everyone I met felt genuinely kind and eager to share a smile—and their little corner of Connecticut. I was surprised by how diverse the community felt, with accents and stories from all over.
One afternoon, I made my way to Old Greenwich, a quiet pocket known for its shops and neighborhood feel. Even with a packed schedule, there were these small, grounding moments that made the trip feel less like work and more like a reset. If and when you get the chance to take a solo trip, I hope you do. Make the time. Make the space. It’s always worth it!
Where I Stayed: Hyatt Regency Greenwich

The hotel was beautiful—cozy in all the right ways—and I loved the idea that I didn’t have to leave to find what I needed. From coffee in the morning at Glenna’s Market to food and drinks under the stars at Townsend Bar (inside their newly renovated atrium), everything was right there. There was even an indoor pool and a hair salon attached. It felt like its own little world—a perfect home base for a quick trip.
Food and Beverage:

Although I didn’t get to explore the full food scene, I did manage to sneak in a few spots I’d definitely recommend:
- Maman Coffee – A charming café with roots in both the South of France and North America. I was instantly pulled in by the soft blue floral details woven throughout the space and branding.
- Raphael’s Bakery – A local favorite for good reason. I grabbed a coffee and was surprised with a few tiny pastries on the house—flaky, warm, just sweet enough. Consider me fully won over.
- Townsend Bar – Tucked inside the Hyatt Regency Greenwich, Townsend Bar feels like a moonlit garden brought indoors. With its atrium setting, classic cocktails and laid-back American fare, it’s a stunning spot to wind down after the work day—or to close it out with a speciality cocktail.
Connecticut Highlights

If you’re a lover of the New England states, I’d add this one to my bucket list.
